The Department of Education is committed to ensuring all Queensland state schools have the resources and supports necessary to prevent and respond appropriately to instances of bullying and cyberbullying among school aged students.
In response to recommendations from the
Queensland Anti-Cyberbullying Taskforce report, the
stand out from the crowd action plan has been developed to outline departmental actions to prevent and address bullying and cyberbullying in Queensland schools. The
bullying and school aged students and the
cyberbullying and school aged students fact sheets have also been developed to clearly outline the responsibilities of principals and school staff in responding to bullying and cyberbullying.
All Queensland state schools have a
Student Code of Conduct that they develop with their school community. This document includes information on how schools prevent and respond to bullying and cyberbullying incidents that impact their school as well as expectations around student use of mobile phones and other devices. Each school’s Student Code of Conduct is publicly available on their school website.

#endcyberbullying
Report it. Block it. Support others being bullied.
The #endcyberbullying campaign was launched on the 2019
National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence and was developed to engage and empower Queensland students to address online bullying.
Queensland state secondary students helped shape the department’s #endcyberbullying campaign and featured in the campaign video. Students from the
Ministerial Student Advisory Council recommended that campaigns need to reflect the reality of bullying for young people.
The #endcyberbullying campaign is included in the
Implementing the Queensland Anti-Cyberbullying Taskforce Report (PDF, 713KB).
